The world record for the longest static apnea duration is 22 minutes and 32 seconds!

Goran Colak, from Croatia, is the holder of this record.

Aged 31, Colak held his breath under water after inhalation of pure oxygen for 22 minutes and 32 seconds. He secured a place in the Guinness Book of Records after breaking by 10-seconds the record of the German Tom Sietas which was 22 minutes and 22 seconds.
