Honey has a complex organic composition and contains several natural antibiotic components, grouped under the generic name of inhibin, which are powerful bacteriostatic agents, that prevent the growth of bacteria. Therefore, it is the only food that keeps its validity indefinitely and never expires. After several years of conservation, simply reheat to restore the liquid appearance as honey becomes crystallized after a long time. It is even said that honey conserved in Egyptian pyramids for over 2000 years has not exceeded its expiry date!
